About Natya Bharathi

Natya Bharathi is a free video tutorial site for learning Bharatanatyam, the classical dance form of Tamil Nadu, India. Lessons are organised into courses that progress from foundational adavus (basic steps) and hasta mudras (hand gestures) through full margam repertoire pieces and abhinaya (expressive storytelling).

How courses are organised

• Category — a broad topic area, e.g. Foundations, Repertoire, Abhinaya.
• Course — a themed series of lessons, e.g. "Adavus for Absolute Beginners".
• Lesson — a single video with a title, duration and description.

Instructors manage all content through the Django admin. See the project's README.md for instructions on adding new courses and lessons.
